Step-by-Step Process

What to expect when you enroll into the LiveStockEx Feedlot Programme

    • You (farmer) and your local vet are signed up on LiveStockEx

    • Farm is assessed by our technical advisor to ensure it has needed resources

    • Right animals selected i.e. the ones that’ll give you maximum returns

    • Selected animals are tagged and listed on  LiveStockEx to help track progress

    • Selected animals are quarantined for a maximum of 21 days.

    • Vet-led insurance eligibility is submitted

    • Expert-designed rations are formulated based on breed and weight goals

    • Feed financing to reduce cash strain is provided by  LiveStockEx

    • The animals’ progress is tracked digitally on  LiveStockEx and they are monitored by your vet and the  LiveStockEx team to ensure optimal health and weight gain

    •  LiveStockEx technical advisor does regular checks and gives recommendations

    • Upon reaching desired weight, your animals are auctioned on the  LiveStockEx platform with a “premium” designation.

    • Serious buyers put in wallet-backed bids. We restrict access to approved buyers who are required to commit the money to buy and transport the animals upfront in escrow.

    • The farmer is paid directly into their  LiveStockEx digital wallet upon successful delivery of the animals to the buyer. Financing costs are reconciled and the balance of the sale is immediately available to the farmer.
